Values

The school's values are based on the Christian value base. You don't need to be a christian in order to attend here. According to the value basis of the Bible all people have equal rights and value. It says to show respect for different opinions, outlooks on life, as well as differences in personality and orientation. We work for a safe school environment that allows for calm studying.

We work with core values based in these five points:

Equality between men and women

"The school wants to actively and consciously promote equal rights and opportunities between women and men. The way girls and boys are treated and assessed at school, and the demands and expectations placed on them, help shape their perceptions of what is feminine and masculine. The school has a responsibility to counteract traditional gender patterns. It must therefore provide space for students to test and develop their abilities and interests regardless of gender", Lgr 11.

Solidarity with the weak and vulnerable

We want to work to make the students feel solidarity with children in other countries who live in misery and poverty. Also with people who have a hard time in our surroundings. This is compatible with our Christian values - the school's view of humanity is based on the New Testament. The students must learn to respect other people and be able to distinguish between right and wrong - good and bad. The ethical dimension must permeate all activities.

The equal value of human beings

The school should provide security and good self-esteem. We want to teach the children to treat others in a way that they themselves want to be treated - and also dare to take a personal stand on various ethical topics. We work against every kind of discrimination, harassment and abusive treatment.

Freedom and integrity of the individual

We want to protect individual freedom and integrity, fight harassment and strengthen our students' compassion. The students are trained to show respect for different opinions, outlooks on life, as well as differences in personality and orientation. The entire operation rests on fundamental democratic values.

The equal worth of all people

We see each child as unique and valuable. Our value does not lie in how good we are or in how well we can perform - but in who we are. All people must be valued equally, regardless of their circumstances or where they are.
