Values
Safety is a prerequisite for our students to be able to grow in knowledge and as fellow human beings. The school's work on values is based on the governing documents and is based on Christian values. We work according to the "golden rule" which states that you treat others as you would like to be treated. We work for a safe school environment with good working peace where you show respect for different opinions, philosophies of life and differences in personality and disposition. You do not have to be a believer to be a student here. We want all students to get a good start in life.
We work with core values based in these five points:
The equal value of human beings
School should provide security and self-esteem. We want to teach children to treat others in a way that they themselves would like to be treated – and also to dare to take a personal stance on various ethical issues. We work against all forms of discrimination, harassment and abusive treatment.
Equality between men and women
Working for and demonstrating equal rights and opportunities for women and men is a matter of course. Every student should have the opportunity to develop their abilities and interests regardless of gender, and girls and boys should be assessed and treated equally.
Solidarity with the weak and vulnerable
We want to work to ensure that students feel solidarity with other people through knowledge of society's laws and norms, human rights and democratic values in school and in society. The ethical dimension should permeate all activities.
The equal worth of all people
We see each child as unique and valuable. Our value does not lie in how good we are or in how well we can perform - but in who we are. All people must be valued equally, regardless of their circumstances or where they are.
Freedom and integrity of the individual
We want to protect individual freedom and integrity, combat harassment and strengthen students' compassion. Our activities are based on fundamental democratic values.
